Bardstown The Prisoner Straight Bourbon Whiskey
The Bardstown Bourbon Company is an ultra-modern operation from the Bourbon Capital of the World, Bardstown, Kentucky. They pride themselves on keeping true to tradition, yet taking innovative and bold steps in producing exceptional bourbon, whiskey, and rye. The distillery is set on a 100-acre stretch of farmland that is a part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and offers a full experience with tours, as well as a complete restaurant in the form of the Bottle & Bond Kitchen and Bar. With only a glass wall separating the dinery from the distillery, visitors can observe the process of spirit making while enjoying quality meals, whiskeys, and cocktails. The Prisoner is a collaboration between Bardstown Bourbon Company and The Prisoner Wine Company from California. They have taken their 9-year-old Tennessee Bourbon, crafted from a mash bill of 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malted barley, then gave it an additional 18 months of aging in French oak barrels that used to hold The Prisoner red wine.

Tasting Notes
The nose is complex and rich with fruity wine, blackberry, and cherries, as well as honey, vanilla, toffee, and cinnamon notes. Nuts and oak shine through on the palate and a well-balanced sweetness lingers all the way through the finish.
