Cardhu 16 Year Old 2022 Special Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Diageo's Special Releases Collection is released annually and features whiskies from some of the world's most iconic distilleries. This year, the collection pushes the boundaries of aroma and flavor with bold expressions such as the Cardhu 2022 Special Release 16 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky that comes from the Cardhu Distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland. Initially matured in refill and re-charred American oak casks, it was finished in Jamaican pot still rum-seasoned casks, making for a deliciously sweet and tropical expression. Bottled at 116 proof, you can expect sweet fruitiness, pink grapefruit, mango, and citrus, as well as malty sweetness, toffee, and oak. It's a complex and elegant single malt that's approachable as well ― the markings of a great whisky.

Tasting Notes
The nose is fruity and sweet with lemon zest, grape, pink grapefruit, and tropical aromas of ripe mango. The palate is sweet, tingling, and medium-bodied with creamy toffee, pineapple, banana, and oak spice. The finish is peppery and oaky.
