Glenglassaugh 37 Year Old Single Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky

was distilled in 1974 and matured in a sherry cask for nearly four decades. Specially selected by the Master Distiller of Glenglassaugh and available only in the United States, the whisky encompasses all of the characteristics of classic Glenglassaugh — it has a rich, sherry flavor that is accented by notes of bananas, toffee and plantains. The initial flavor gives way to notes dark chocolate, dates and berries, and leads to a warming finish with touches of spice. Bottled at cask strength without use of artificial coloring or chill filtration, the whisky earned a score of 92 points from Whisky Advocate, which named it one of the Top Top Whiskies in its Fall 2012 issue. In addition, the whisky earned the Silver Medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in 2012. Only 470 bottles of this whisky were ever produced, and only a handful of bottles remain available.
