Jefferson's Groth Reserve Cask Finish Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Jefferson’s Groth Reserve Cask Finish Bourbon Whiskey was first aged in new American oak barrels for approximately six years before being extra-matured in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from Groth Vineyards for an additional nine months. Groth Vineyards and Winery is a high-caliber producer out of California’s Napa Valley that is particularly well-known for its Cabernet Sauvignon, and these special barrels give Jefferson’s Groth Reserve Cask Finish Bourbon Whiskey its unique and robust characteristics. The whiskey has a starbright aroma of peaches, blackberries, caramel corn and toffee, which leads to a palate marked by burnt oak, red wine, cinnamon spice and dark and dried fruits. The finish is long and dry, with lasting notes of sweet tobacco, cornbread and baked apples. This release, which was released in the summer of 2015, is extremely limited.
