Midleton has been giving its Master distillers a chance to create their own signature Irish whiskey - a Midleton Very Rare, a Vintage release, since 1984. 2022 Very Rare has been created by Kevin O’Gorman. For months, O’Gorman has been exploring Midleton’s excessive inventory to eventually come up with a unique and amazingly balanced blend of rare and hand-selected single-pot still and single-grain Irish whiskeys that is nothing short of impressive. The selection of whiskies was aged from 12 to 33 years in lightly charred ex-bourbon American oak barrels. This exceptional blend, filled with poise and layers of flavor, is worthy of any whisky connoisseur or collector.

Tasting Notes
The enchanting aroma of 2022 Very Rare is fruit-forward: notes of mandarin and candid apple are soon replaced by white pepper, nutmeg, chocolate, toffee, and charred oak. The palate is luscious and decadent with notes of orange zest, caramelized apples, pot still spices, and cereal. The finish seems to last forever, caressing your taste buds with pot-still spices and charred oak.
