In 2022, they released 2 unique expressions from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, focusing on how fermentation and different yeast strains affect the aromas and flavors of Japanese whisky. Nikka Miyagikyo Aromatic Yeast is an unpeated 95-proof single malt that was produced with yeasts that encouraged the development of fruity flavors and aromas, resuling in a malty whisky with layers of floral and fruity notes. Tasting Notes
