Vintages from today’s Buffalo Trace Distillery honor the distillery’s origins. Buffalo Trace Distillery was established as a O.F.C. distillery back in 1870 by Colonel E.H. and it was the most state-of-the-art distillery of its era. Even though its initials stand for Old Fashioned copper, it was an innovative distillery that was the first to use a special steam heating system, still used in the distillery’s aging warehouses today. The Vintages is a tribute to the distillery’s beginnings, and each bottle looks and tastes the part.

Tasting Notes

This is a rich and full-bodied vintage, filled with aromas of cherry cordial, caramel, and lightly-smoked oak. The predominant notes on the palate are those of dark chocolate, tobacco leaves, and dates. The finish is lingering with hints of leather, black pepper, and cinnamon.
